Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1: Name The organization shall be known as the International Association of Technology and Innovation (IATI).
Section 2: Purpose The purpose of IATI is to advance the fields of technology and innovation through collaboration, research, and dissemination of knowledge. The association aims to foster a global community of professionals dedicated to driving technological progress and addressing societal challenges.
Article II: Goals
- Promote Innovation: Encourage the development and implementation of innovative technologies that address global challenges.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Create opportunities for collaboration among professionals, researchers, and organizations worldwide.
- Disseminate Knowledge: Publish and distribute research, news, and articles to inform and educate the global community.
- Set Standards: Develop and promote industry standards that enhance the quality and impact of technological advancements.
- Encourage Ethical Practices: Advocate for ethical practices and social responsibility in technology and innovation.
Article III: Membership
Section 1: Membership Categories
- Standard Members: Individuals who are actively engaged in the fields of technology and innovation.
- Fellow Members: Distinguished individuals recognized for their significant contributions to technology and innovation.
- Board Members: Elected individuals responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the association.
- Editorial Members: Individuals responsible for overseeing the publication of research papers, news, and articles.
Section 2: Responsibilities of Members
- Standard Members: Participate in association activities, contribute to discussions, and adhere to the association’s ethical guidelines.
- Fellow Members: Provide mentorship, contribute to strategic initiatives, and represent the association at industry events.
- Board Members: Set strategic goals, oversee financial management, and ensure the association’s activities align with its mission.
- Editorial Members: Review and approve submissions for publication, maintain the quality of content, and uphold editorial standards.
Article IV: Governance
Section 1 – Board of Directors: The Board of Directors shall consist of elected members who oversee the association’s operations and strategic direction. The board shall meet quarterly to review progress and make decisions.
Section 2 – Committees: The association shall establish committees as needed to address specific areas such as membership, publications, events, and ethics.
Article V: Publications
Section 1 – Research Papers: IATI shall publish peer-reviewed research papers that contribute to the advancement of technology and innovation. Submissions shall be reviewed by the Editorial Board for quality and relevance.
Section 2 – News and Articles: The association shall regularly publish news and articles to keep members informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and association activities.
Article VI: Social Responsibility
Section 1 – Ethical Practices: IATI is committed to promoting ethical practices in technology and innovation. Members are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines and contribute to initiatives that address societal challenges.
Section 2 – Community Engagement: The association shall engage with communities to promote technology education, support sustainable development, and address social issues through innovative solutions.
Article VII: Amendments
This charter may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Directors. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing and distributed to all board members at least 30 days prior to the vote.
Article VIII: Dissolution
In the event of dissolution, the assets of the association shall be distributed to a non-profit organization with similar goals, as determined by the Board of Directors.
